HDSB Human Rights Symposium Recap: Environmental Rights (Dec. 8-9, 2022)

The HDSB hosted the Human Rights Symposium on Thursday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 to engage in vital conversations and challenge thinking. The theme of this year’s event was Environmental Rights, which explored the interconnectedness of globalization, environment, Indigenous Rights, human rights and our collective responsibility to protect our planet.

Thousands of staff and students across the HDSB spent time listening and learning about Environmental Rights at this year’s virtual Symposium with keynote speakers Sheila Watt-Cloutier and Kehkashan Basu. Thank you to the staff and students who joined the Human Rights Symposium.
